2.5 pounds of meth found during traffic stop

A traffic stop in Laurel County leads to the discovery of more than two pounds of methamphetamine.

Kentucky State Police say troopers pulled over a suspected drunk driver on Cromer Ridge Road in Laurel County Sunday night April 21, 2019.

Troopers searched the truck 57-year-old Timmy Fields, of East Bernstadt, was driving and say they found 2.5 pounds of methamphetamine along with drug paraphernalia.

Fields and his passenger, 44-year-old Traci Rayburn, of London, were arrested and charged with trafficking a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Fields was also charged with driving under the influence and other traffic charges.
