Lejunior woman charged with a a 2016 warrant for dragging a woman

On Wednesday October 9, 2019 just after 6pm Pineville Officer Brandon Hollingsworth executed a complaint warrant on a Lejunior woman. 32 year old Melissa Pace’s warrant for wanton endangerment was in regard to an incident on June 9, 2016.

A woman identified as Heather Daniels stated in the complaint that Melissa Pace knowingly drive off in a vehicle while a passenger in that vehicle held on to the arm of Daniels. Daniels was then “dragged up the street”, which created a substantial danger of death or serious physical injury. Melissa pace was charged with wanton endangerment -1st degree.

Pace was also served an outstanding warrant for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs – 1st offense, possession of controlled substance – 1st offense (drug unspecified), possession of controlled substance – 2nd offense (drug unspecified), and buying/possessing drug paraphernalia.

She was initially held in the Bell County Detention Center, but has since been transferred to the Harlan County Detention Center is being held on a $4,000 full cash bond for the warrant. The complaint warrant for the wanton endangerment charge states her bond is $25,000 but the HCDC has it at only $500.00 for some reason.
