Lexington couple arrested by ANI after suspected Fentanyl pills among many, seized in Harlan County

From Appalachia Narcotics Investigations -

On Monday, June 13, 2022, Appalachia Narcotics Investigations, with the assistance of the Harlan County Sheriff’s Office and Cumberland Police Department, conducted a traffic stop on US 119 in Cumberland.

A search of the vehicle uncovered 334 illegal pills including 232 suspected pressed fentanyl pills, 12 suspected Xanax, 90 suspected Darvocet. Also found was approximately 20 grams of crystal meth and $1,557 in cash. The ANI believes the suspects were traveling from Lexington, Ky to the Tri-Cities area specifically to traffic in narcotics.

Arrested was 45-year-old Richard Wilson of Lexington, Ky., on charges of:

Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (> 2 grams Methamphetamine),

Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (> 10 Dose Units; Drug Unspecified), Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Carfentanyl or Fentanyl Derivatives), Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree (< 20 Dose Units, Drug Unspecified), Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, 2nd or Greater Offense, (Drug Unspecified), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Also charged was 39-year-old Janet Hullett of Lexington, Ky. who was charged with:

Giving Officer False Identifying Information,

Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine),

Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Drug Unspecified),

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and several outstanding warrants.

This case remains under investigation by Appalachia Narcotics Investigation.
