Middlesboro father and son indicted on sexual offenses

According to court records, two men in jail charged with sexual offenses have now been indicted by a Bell County Grand Jury.

On Thursday April 18, 2019 KSP Detective Aaron Frederick and Trooper Don Perry took a Middlesboro father and son into custody after an investigation in March. That's when two female victims under 14 reported sexual allegations occuring at a residence on Beans Fork Road. Arrested and lodged in the Bell County Detention Center were 73 year old John W Hoskins and 33 year old Travis J Hoskins of Middlesboro.

The elder Hoskins was charged with sodomy 1st degree-victim under 12 years of age, sodomy 2nd degree, sexual abuse 1st degree-victim under 12, sexual abuse 1st degree, and 2 counts of incest - forcible compulsion/incapable of consent - victim under the age of 18. He is being held on a $500,000 cash bond.

Travis was charged with rape 2nd degree - no force, sexual abuse 1st degree, sodomy 2nd degree, and incest. He is being held on a $250,000 cash bond.

Both men are scheduled for another court appearance on July 1st in Bell County circuit court.

The case is still being handled by Det. Aaron Frederick.
