3 arrested by sheriff's deputies after pursuit

Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Jake Miller along with Deputy Joey Robinson, Sgt. Greg Poynter, Deputy Travis Napier, and CSO Hunter Disney arrested three individuals following a short pursuit on Jesse Smith Road, approximately 10 miles east of London after deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a tan colored Chevrolet Impala on Monday afternoon January 7, 2019 at approximately 4:05 PM.



The vehicle fled to the end of Jesse Smith Road where the driver and two passengers were taken into custody. A passenger in the vehicle had an outstanding bench warrant and another passenger was found in possession of hydrocodone and oxycodone with no prescription for either one.


The three arrested individuals were identified as the driver of the vehicle Jarrett Jones age 24 of Manchester charged with fleeing or evading police – second-degree – motor vehicle.


A passenger in the vehicle Lisa R. Stewart age 49 of Manchester charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – hydrocodone and oxycodone; prescription controlled substances not in proper container – first offense.


Curtis Hatfield age 42 of London charged on a Knox District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on numerous traffic violations.


All three individuals were lodged in the Laurel County detention center.
