A Middlesboro man has been arrested for several sexual offenses involving juveniles

From WRIL -

Daniel Randall Ramsey - BCDC

Early Thursday morning April 16, 2020 at 4:28am Middlesboro Police Officer Ryan Collins - assisted by Nick Capps, K-9 Harvey Johnson, and Sgt. Kenny Vanover - was dispatched to an East Doncaster residence in regard to an accusation of sexual abuse of a juvenile.

Officer Collins states in his citation that once he was on scene he made contact with the accused, 25 year old Daniel Randall Ramsey of Middlesboro. The officers entered the residence and after interviewing two juveniles in the home they confirmed the actions of Ramsey took place.

The first of the two juveniles stated that Ramsey performed the sexual acts as recently as 3:00am this morning (Thursday April 16, 2020). The second juvenile stated that Ramsey performed similar sexual acts multiple times over the course of three weeks while he was trying to sleep.

The officer further reports in his citation that one of the juveniles stated that there was a camera above the toilet and Officer Nick Capps retrieved it. It was determined that Ramsey had access to the camera from his cellphone and when Officer Collins attempted to seize the phone Ramsey yelled "hell no" and tried to access different applications on the device.

During his arrest, Ramsey resisted and the officer noted a strong odor of Marijuana in the home.

Daniel Randall Ramsey was lodged in the Bell County Detention Center charged with: Sodomy - 3rd degree, rape - 3rd degree, tampering with physical evidence, and 2 counts of sexual abuse - 3rd degree. He currently has no bond.
