Banging noise in the court house leads to arrest

From The Bell County Sheriff's Department -

Daniel Fletcher - BCDC

Wednesday August 7, 2019 at approximately 9:37am court security officers at the Farmer Helton Judicial Center in Pineville heard a loud banging noise coming from somewhere in the building.

After an extensive search by court deputies Tommy Turner, Joe Kincade, and Derek Jones, it was determined that the sound was coming from the men’s bathroom on the first floor.

Upon contact with the individual laying in the floor, identified as 46 year old Daniel Fletcher of Pineville, he told the men he was upset over something that had happened recently. He was asked if he was the person making all the noise and Fletcher replied that he was and had been kicking the bathroom stalls and walls.

Fletcher was found to have an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court.

He was lodged in the Bell County Detention Center charged with disorderly conduct - 2nd degree and criminal mischief - 2nd degree for damage to the bathroom and causing an alarm to people in the court house.
