Bell County Ky, License changes

From Bell County Circuit Clerk Colby Slusher

RECENT CHANGES TO DRIVERS LICENSE

Circuit Clerk Colby Slusher

To each and Every Bell Countian

It has been my privilege and honor to serve as your Circuit Court Clerk today and in the future.

Recent changes by the Department of Transportation and Homeland Security have taken further steps to limit the role of the Circuit Court Clerk in the administering of Drivers License throughout the Commonwealth.

Due to the transition to an 8 year Travel ID/ Drivers License, The KY Dept of Transportation, and The Administrative Office of the Courts are Discontinuing funding statewide to Offices outside Judicial Centers in an effort to comply with security requirements and reduce spending. Here is how this Affects Bell County.

The Office in the Bell County Judicial Center (Pineville) will remain open for Drivers License services Monday thru Friday 8am-4pm with extended hours on Wednesdays until 6pm.

Kentucky State Police Drivers Testing Office Hours 606-337-6773 Wednesday-Friday Road Test 337-6773 Must call for appointment

Wednesday-Friday Written Test 12 Noon-2:30pm

The Middlesboro Office will remain Open for Renewals ONLY Fridays 8am-4pm Closed for lunch from 11-12 Until further notice by Transportation

Please feel free to call the Drivers License Department with any questions you may have 606-337-2942.

I will continue to work tirelessly to provide the best service possible while conforming to the budget reductions passed on by the Administrative Office of the Courts.

Thanks to each of you for your continued help and support.

Respectfully, Colby Slusher
