Just announced on Monday, November 2, 2020 -
On Tuesday, October 27, 2020, Randall Ward appeared in the Criminal Court of Campbell County and pled guilty as charged to three counts of aggravated rape and one count of aggravated kidnapping.
Ward was subsequently sentenced by Campbell County Criminal Court Judge E. Shayne Sexton to twenty five years in Tennessee Department of Correction custody, which shall be served in its entirety. Ward was also sentenced to community supervision for life following his release. The victim of these offenses was consulted throughout the prosecution of this case and approved of the above disposition.
Det. Charles Duff of the Lafollette Police Department was the lead investigator in this matter. The State of Tennessee was represented by Assistant District Attorney General Jordan Howanitz.
