On Tuesday, February 16, 2021, Kentucky State Police arrested a Coldiron Kentucky man on a sexual offense charge. 18 year Cody Shelton, who goes by the name Cody Valentine Collett on social media, was charged by KSP Detective Jacob Middleton with unlawful transaction with a minor - 1st degree - illegal sex act under 16 years of age.
The warrant states that between December 1, 2020 and February 16, 2021, Shelton is accused of knowingly attempting to induce, assist, and cause several minors under the age of 16 to engage in illegal sexual activity.
Cody Shelton was booked into the Harlan County Detention Center on Tuesday evening the 16th at 6:37pm and is being held on a $20,000 cash bond.
