Drug trafficking charges lodged against Gray hawk, Ky. man by Knox County Ky Deputies

On Wednesday night, May 31, 2023, Knox County Deputies traveled to a Bark Lane residence to speak with 63-year-old Obie Mills of Gray Hawk, Ky. in regard to drug activity at his residence.


Upon contact with Mills, he advised the deputies that all the traffic was coming and going because individuals were "buying stuff from him." Consent to search his residence was asked by deputies, and given by Mills, to search his home.

During that search, Deputy Jesse Smith located a clear bag of suspected methamphetamine laying on Mills' bed. Behind the bed a black bag was found containing several different pills, Marijuana, suspected Fentanyl pills, clear distribution baggies, and a set of digital scales.


Deputy Smith then applied for a search warrant for the residence which was granted and another clear bag of suspected Methamphetamine was found in the home.


Obie Mills was arrested and lodged in the Knox County Detention Center charged with:

Trafficking in a controlled substance - 1st degree, 2nd offense or greater (2 grams - Methamphetamine),

Trafficking in a controlled substance - 1st offense (Carfentanil or Fentanyl derivatives)

Trafficking in Marijuana (less than 8 oz.) - 1st offense,

Trafficking in legend drugs - 1st offense.


He is being held on a $25,000 cash bond.
