From the Pineville Police Deparment -
Area law enforcement made up of Pineville Officers Michael Smith, Jason Williams, and Bell County Deputy Adam Southern were conducting a pre-approved safety check point on Highway 66 early Saturday morning August 31, 2019.
Among those coming through the check point was driver 62 year old Goldie Webb of Frakes Kentucky with her passenger 58 year old Michael Brock also of Frakes in a white Ford F-150.
Upon contact with Ms. Webb, Officer Smith states that both she and Mr. Brock appeared nervous. While Bell County Deputy Southern was confronting Mr. Brock, Officer Smith asked Webb to exit the vehicle for a search. Ms. Webb was asked if there was anything in the vehicle and she replied no but continued to seem nervous.
During the search, Officer Smith located in the driver’s side door jam above Ms. Webb’s foot, a Jennings .22 caliber pistol. After being read her rights, Webb admitted to being a convicted felon.
Ms. Webb was then asked if she had anything illegal on her and she replied no, but as she was being escorted into the Bell County Detention Center she admitted to having something in her bra. Officer Smith requested that jail guard Cassidy Jones retrieve the contraband determined to be 7.5 grams of a crystal-like substance believed to be Methamphetamine appearing to be bagged for individual sale. $461.00 was also seized in the incident.
After a background check from Bell Dispatch, Deputy Southern found Michael Brock to have an outstanding warrant on file.
Goldie Webb was charged with Trafficking controlled substance - 1st degree, 1st offense – greater than two grams (Methamphetamine) and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Michael Brock was served the $448.00 pay or stay warrant.
