On Tuesday, May 25, 2021, an Evarts man was arrested and charged with the murder of 26-year-old Sarah Jane King of Harlan, Ky. in the early morning hours of Sunday, May 23, 2021.
28-year-old Matthew Clutts was booked into the Harlan County Detention Center charged with murder for the shooting that took place in the Ages community. No bond has been set for Clutts yet.
Tuesday evening Harlan County Rescue Squad and Kentucky State Police were conducting a search in connection to this investigation.
We will be deferring to the Kentucky State Police for more details on this arrest.
