On Wednesday night December 1, 2021, at approximately 11:44 pm there was a fatal vehicle vs. pedestrian accident on Highway 25E in Harrogate at the intersection with Washington Avenue. Among those responding was Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Jeremy Shelton.
The trooper states in his report that 38-year-old Stephanie Partin of Harrogate was crossing the roadway when she was struck by a 2002 Toyota Corolla driven by 21-year-old Troy Daniels of Middlesboro.
Emergency responders attended to Ms. Partin, but she died on the scene from her injuries sustained in the incident.
Trooper Shelton also states that toxicology samples were taken from both individuals and results are pending. No charges have been filed at this time.
Also responding was the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Department, Claiborne County EMS, and LMU Police.
