Just after 4pm on Friday July 12, 2019 Middlesboro Police responded to a call of indecent exposure in the Middlesboro Mall parking lot.
A woman stated to Sgt. Barry Cowan that 87 year old Paul Mathis of Oakdale Tennessee had pulled out his penis and shook it at her. The citation states that the woman had her daughter with her. Mathis was advised of his rights and admitted to what he was accused of doing.
Paul Mathis was transported to and lodged in the Bell County Detention Center charged with indecent exposure 2nd degree. He currently has no bond set.
Also assisting with the incident was Officer Michael Bradley.
