On Thursday December 3, 2020 the Middlesboro Police Department conducted a drug investigation resulting in an arrest after a traffic stop. The investigation by Sgt. Barry Cowan, Ofc. Ryan Collins, and Ofc. Nick Capps resulted in the arrest of 33 year old Jason Brown of Middlesboro.
During the stop on Brown, the officers found a quantity of Methamphetamine and money, shortly afterward they executed a search warrant at 12B Happy Hollow Apartments yielding more Methamphetamine, scales, and baggies.
Jason Brown was arrested and lodged in the Bell County Detention Center charged with trafficking a controlled substance - 1st degree, 2nd offense (greater than two grams - Methamphetamine). He was additionally charged with failure to maintain insurance and was served an outstanding warrant.
