On Monday March 4, 2019 Middlesboro Officer Michael Bradley responded to a call of an intoxicated woman at an apartment parking lot on West Cumberland Avenue. According to the citation, Officer Bradley made contact with the woman, identified as 30 year old Tasha Stewart.
Bradley reports that Stewart was manifestly under in the influence of some kind of controlled substance. He went on to report that she exhibited behavior consistent with intoxication. A search incident to arrest revealed a Buprenorphine Naloxone tablet.
Also in the citation Bradley states that Stewart placed a one year old female child in danger by allowing her to ride in the bed of a truck in 28 degree weather according to an eyewitness. Stewart is accused of not exercising reasonable diligence to prevent neglect of the one year old.
Tasha Stewart was charged with public intoxication controlled substance – excluding alcohol, possession of controlled substance 2nd degree – drug unspecified, endangering the welfare of a minor, and she was served with three outstanding bench warrants.
She is being held on a combined cash bond of $11,164.00.
