On Wednesday, October 30 2019, at noon officers with Kentucky Probation and Parole conducted a home visit at a residence in Beans Fork of two individuals identified as 31 year old Kendra Leann Jones and 32 year old Kyle Jerome Baker who were under their supervision.

Upon entry into residence, Kentucky Probation/Parole immediately located within plain view two handguns laying on a table/night stand beside a bed along with numerous syringes/needles scattered about the residence.

This lead to a search of the home which also revealed two handguns – a 9mm and a .22 caliber both in holsters with 92 9mm rounds and 142 .22 rounds. Also found was a syringe containing a red liquid substance believed to be Methamphetamine, two marijuana cigarettes, a digital scale, and numerous syringes/needles, all located within the residence.

A search of Kyle Baker revealed approximately four syringes/needles, one of which was uncapped, within his front right pant pocket, of which he failed to notify the Kentucky Probation/Parole officer prior to search.

Kentucky Probation/Parole contacted the Bell County Sheriff's Office and requested assistance of law enforcement. Responding to the residence was Bell County Deputy Edward Dray. Upon arrival, both Baker and Jones were read their rights. Baker stated to Deputy Dray that he purchased and possessed the two handguns prior to becoming a convicted felon, but never removed them from his possession. He also said that he was still using Burprenorphine controlled substances, specifically Suboxone.

Kendra Jones stated that she was still using Methamphetamine, via intravenous injection, and stated that the loaded syringe contained Methamphetamine. She went on to say that she had recently utilized the loaded syringe in an attempt to inject intravenously.

Both Jones and Baker were transported to and lodged in the Bell County Detention charged with possession of handgun by convicted felon, possession of controlled substance - 1st degree, 1st offense (Methamphetamine), possession of Marijuana, and buying/possessing drug paraphernalia.

The investigation revealed Kendra Jones became a convicted felon on November 15, 2016. Jerome Kyle Baker became a convicted felon on March 21 2019. Both convictions are from Bell County.
