Released from jail re-arrested three days later

A Middlesboro man released from jail on October 18th was once again arrested on Monday the 21st by Officer Chris Barnes.


Barnes states in his citation that during a traffic stop on a 2010 Chevy Malibu at 10th Street and Avondale, 46 year old Ricky Lee of Middlesboro, was a passenger in the vehicle.


After consent to search was given by the driver, it was found that Lee had a syringe and a bag containing water bottle lids which held a crystal-like substance believed to be Methamphetamine.


Ricky Lee was lodged in the Bell County Detention Center charged with possession of controlled substance - 1st degree, 1st offense (Methamphetamine) and buying/possessing drug paraphernalia. He is currently being held on a $1,500 cash bond.


He was previously being held on charges of shoplifting, criminal trespassing, and theft of identity of another without consent. He had been released on $500 cash bond.
