On Wednesday night November 6th, 2019 the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team executed a narcotics search warrant at a residence on North Hills Drive in Tazewell, Tennessee in response to the sale of methamphetamine.
Investigators with the Narcotic Division and Criminal Investigation Division had been conducting a lengthy investigation into the sale and distribution of methamphetamine by Jason Michael Hopson, who lives at that residence.
During the course of the search the investigators located methamphetamine in a room where Hopson was hiding. They also recovered drug paraphernalia and items believed to be used in the sale of narcotics.
Jason Michael Hopson was arrested and charged with Sale and delivery of Sch II, Possession of Methamphetamine for Resale, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. More charges are expected to come up in this case.
Also assisting in the incident was the Tazewell and New Tazewell Police Department.
