Sexual offense charges for a Middlesboro man

A Middlesboro man was arrested Wednesday evening September 11, 2019 for sexual offenses.
23-year-old Matthew Sparks is lodged in the Bell County Detention Center after Middleboro Police Sgt. Barry Cowan charged him with prohibited use of an electronic system to procure a minor for sex offenses and possessing matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.
Sparks is accused of engaging in conversations via Facebook messenger by phone with the 15-year-old female. Sparks also had pictures depicting sexual content of the girl in his possession.
Matthew Sparks has no bond as of this report.
