Shooting complaint leads to arrest for a Flat Lick man

On Sunday, April 21, 2019 at approximately 7:50 pm Knox County Deputy Bobby Jones was responded to a complaint of Franklin Carnes assaulting and shooting at a man at a residence on Brices Creek Road in Flat Lick.


While traveling on Brices Creek Road, Deputy Jones observed Franklin Carnes operating a vehicle. After conducting a traffic stop, Deputy Jones arrested 25 year old Franklin Cody Carnes of Flat Lick, KY charging him with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence, Improper Equipment, Improper Display of Registration Plates, No Registration Receipt and Failure to Produce Insurance Card.


After conducting an investigation, Franklin Carnes was also charged with Wanton Endangerment-1st Degree, Assault-2nd Degree and Disorderly Conduct. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center. He is being held on a $25,000 cash bond.
