Assault 1st degree arrest in Harlan County
On Monday - September 2, 2019 at 9:18 a.m. Kentucky State Police, Post 10 Harlan received a shots fired complaint in the Cumberland Community of Harlan County. Troopers from Post 10 responded and upon their arrival it was determined a fight had occurred between a boyfriend and girlfriend.
49 year old Daniel Bauer of Ohio had been shot in the face. Mr. Bauer was flown to Holston Valley Medical Center with non life threatening injuries. 46 year old Stephanie Brock was charged with Assault 1st degree and 24 year old Kevin Brock was charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence. Both were lodged in Harlan County Detention Center.
The Case is still under investigation by Tpr. Andy Soltess. Also assisted at the scene were Trooper Jake Middleton, Detective Rodney Sturgill, Detective Jake Wilson, Cumberland PD Sgt. Tyler Hensley, Ofc. Marion Stewart, Harlan County Sheriff Deputies Cody Bargo, Austin Reynolds, and Lifeguard Ambulance service.
Authorities say that an individual was flown from Cumberland Kentucky to a hospital after being shot Monday September 2nd.
The incident is said to have happened
in the vicinity of the Tri-Cities Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Responding to the scene of the shooting was the Harlan County Sheriff's Department and Kentucky State Police. Neither agency has released the identity of the individual with the gun shot.
