Weekender charged with bringing in contraband to the Bell County Jail

From WRIL -

Megan Marlow - BCDC

On Friday March 1st at 8:00pm, 32 year old Megan Marlow of Cumberland Gap, Tennessee reported into the Bell County Detention Center as a weekender.

Prior to her arrival, Bell County Dispatch received a call of Marlow planning to bring in a clear baggy with pills inside to the jail.

Jail Officers Katy Cox and Brittany Mayfield confronted three female inmates in cell 119 who turned over the clear baggy containing Gabapentin and Quetiapine pills.

While Marlow was serving weekends due to a driving under the influence conviction, she is now charged with promoting contraband by Pineville Police Officer Brandon Hollingsworth.

Marlow has a lengthy arrest record dating back to 2006 with offenses ranging from trafficking with 1,000 yards of a school, possession or marijuana, and criminal possession of a forged instrument, to shoplifting and driving under the influence.
