Woman convicted for attacking a gay man is now back in custody

From WYMT -

Mable Ashley Jenkins - LCC

One person charged in an unprecedented attack on a gay man in Harlan County is back behind bars.

In 2013, a judge sentenced Mable Ashley Jenkins to eight years in prison. From court documents, WYMT learned she was apparently out on supervised release. Court officials claim she violated the terms of that release.

An arrest warrant was issued in September. U.S. Marshals arrested her on Wednesday October 16, 2019..

Jenkins pleaded guilty in a case where she and three others worked together to kidnap a gay man and beat him. She is being held in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
