From The Claiborne County Sheriff's Department -
On Tuesday, February 14, 2023, Detectives with the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division discovered a body in a mountainous area in the northern region of Claiborne County.
This discovery is the result of an active and ongoing investigation. The body has been transported to the Knox County Regional Forensics Center in Knoxville where an autopsy will be performed and identification made.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is assisting in the investigation.
