A Corbin man accused of sexual abuse of a child under the age of 16 was indicted by a Knox County grand jury Friday, September 27, 2019. 49 year old Edward Clark, was named in a four-count indictment on charges that allegedly occurred between April 23, 2016 and April 22, 2019.
Counts one and two of the indictment charge Clark with first-degree sexual abuse subjecting a minor to sexual contact through the use of forcible compulsion.
Counts three and four of the indictment charge Clark with first-degree sexual abuse by engaging in masturbation in the presence of a minor less than 16 years old, and the defendant being 21 years old or more.
There was no record of Clark’s arrest by Knox County officials as of Friday evening.
An indictment is a formal charge by a grand jury, it is not a conviction or an admission of guilt.
