A Knox County grand jury indicted a man on four counts related to child sex crimes.

Investigators accused Jerry Lee Smith, 37, of Flat Lick, of sending sexual messages to a disabled 11-year-old on Facebook back in September.

State troopers say he exchanged inappropriate pictures with the child.

Smith faces charges of prohibited use of electronic communications to procure a minor, distribution of child pornography, indecent exposure and distribution of obscene material to a minor.

Smith is held in the Knox County Detention Center.
