Harlan County Sheriff’s Office Makes Arrests in Burglary Investigations

On Friday, June 21st, Deputies with the Harlan County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Wallins man that was wanted as a result of a Burglary investigation in Coldiron. Kenneth Saylor, 50, was arrested on a warrant obtained by the Sheriff’s Office and charged with Burglary 1st Degree, Criminal Mischief 1st Degree, Criminal Trespassing 2nd Degree and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. The case remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and additional charges are pending.


An arrest warrant that was obtained by Kentucky State Police was also served on Saylor during the arrest. The warrant was a result of an investigation conducted by KSP. He was charged with Burglary 3rd Degree, Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, and Theft by Unlawful Taking. Saylor is lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center with bond currently set at $5,000 cash.


John Donahue - HCDC

John Donahue, 46, of Harlan was also served with an additional warrant that was obtained by the Sheriff’s Office. The warrant was a result of a Burglary investigation in Rosspoint. He was charged with Burglary 1st Degree and Theft by Deception. Through the investigation, a large amount of stolen property was discovered and it was determined that the property belonged to numerous victims of Burglaries throughout Harlan County.

Additional investigations are ongoing and recovered property associated with KSP investigations has been turned over to KSP. Donahue currently remains lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center with bond set at $10,000 cash.
