Laurel Sheriff's Detective Kyle Gray arrested Dana L. Casey age 23 of Willie Cheek Rd., London on Wednesday afternoon August 21, 2019 at approximately 3:19 PM.
The arrest occurred in London after Casey was picked up In Warren County Tennessee by authorities there as a wanted person wanted on a Laurel Circuit Court indictment warrant of arrest charging criminal abuse – first-degree – child 12 or under. On Wednesday, Laurel Sheriff's Bailiff Paige Vanhook and Bailiff Jacklyn Johnson traveled to Warren County Tennessee transporting Casey back to Laurel County to answer to Laurel County charges on the indictment warrant.
The indictment warrant was the result of a presentation made before the Laurel County grand jury regarding a criminal case investigated by Detective Kyle Gray along with Detective Sgt. Chris Edwards, Detective Bryon Lawson, Sheriff John Root, Detective James Sizemore, and Deputy Rodney VanZant regarding an alleged assault which occurred in Laurel County where a two-year-old male child was beaten and received severe injuries.
Dana Casey was lodged in the Laurel County correctional center.
