Kettle Island woman arrested for passing counterfeit money

On Wednesday, January 19, 2022, the Middlesboro Police Department received a call for service at Wendy’s restaurant in reference to a female subject allegedly passing a counterfeit $20 bill in the drive through. Middlesboro Police Sergeant Christopher Barnes and Officer Bradley Fuson arrived on scene and came in contact with 30-year-old Alicia Blevins of Kettle Island, KY.


Further investigation by Officer Bradley Fuson revealed that Blevins was under three bench warrants for her arrest and also allegedly found to be in possession of a counterfeit $100 bill.


Officer Fuson arrested Alicia Blevins and lodged her in the Bell County Detention Center. She was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument - 1st degree, a class C felony, and the three outstanding bench warrants.
