Barbourville Ky. (July 7, 2019) On Friday, July 5, 2019 at approximately 1:36 p.m. Kentucky State Police, Post 10 Harlan received a call from Knox County 911 of a single vehicle collision on Ky 459 in the Barbourville community of Knox County.
Trooper Kelly Farris responded to the scene and began an investigation that indicates 22 year old Jeremiah Jackson of London Ky, was traveling south on Ky 459 while operating a 2015 Dodge Challenger. Mr. Jackson crossed the center line entering the north bound lane, then left the roadway striking a tree on the driver side of the vehicle.
Mr. Jackson was taken to Barbourville ARH by Knox County EMS where he was pronounced deceased.
Trooper Kelly Farris is continuing the investigation.
