Knox County drug arrest involving guns

On Tuesday, February 19, 2019 Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith and several deputies executed a search warrant at a residence on Little Broughton Hollow Road in Cannon.


During the search over 2 ounces of suspected methamphetamine, several assorted controlled pills and several firearms were located, including an assault weapon. A 2001 Ford F-250 Pick-up and an eight foot snow plow, both stolen out of Lexington, were also recovered.



Tony L Moore, also known as Tattoo Tony, age 49 of Cannon, KY was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance-1st Degree (methamphetamine), Possession of Controlled Substance-2nd Degree, Possession of Handgun by Convicted Felon, Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon, Possession of Defaced Firearm, Receiving Stolen Property-0ver $10,000, Destruction of Vehicle Identification Number and Fleeing or Evading Police-2nd Degree.


Tony Moore was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.


Tony Moore was arrested by deputies on September 25, 2018 with over 3 ounces of Methamphetamine and several firearms. He was charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance-1st Degree, Possession of Controlled Substance-1st Degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon.


Tony Moore was arrested by Barbourville City Police Officers on October 2, 2018 and charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance-1st Degree (methamphetamine) and Promoting Contraband-1st Degree.
