From Laurel County Sheriff John Root -
Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Hunter Disney along with Deputy Daniel Reed investigated a single vehicle single traffic fatality which occurred on Winding Blade Road approximately 10 miles north of London on Saturday evening July 18, 2020 at approximately 6:11 PM.
Sheriff's investigators reported that apparently a Kawasaki trail bike was traveling eastbound on Winding Blade Road when it rounded a curve, ran off the roadway, and up an embankment striking a tree. The driver was transported to St. Joseph Hospital London where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.
The driver was identified as Scottie Bowling age 53 of East Bernstadt.
Assisting on the investigation was: London Laurel Rescue squad, Crossroads Volunteer Fire department, Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County, and the Laurel County Coroner's office.
