London Ky. Man Arrested By KSP Following A Knox County Pursuit

On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at approximately 2:43 PM, Post 10 was notified by Trooper Josh Jones that he was behind a vehicle refusing to stop. Trooper Jones had attempted to initiate a traffic stop after observing a white Ford Ranger cut off another vehicle while traveling north on KY 229 in Knox County.
The vehicle fled a short distance before turning onto Horse Hollow Road, a dead-end. At the end of the road, the driver—identified as 46-year-old Alex Smallwood, of London—fled on foot. Trooper John Hoskins later located Smallwood hiding on a creek bank and placed him under arrest without further incident.
Alex Smallwood was lodged into the Knox Co Detention Center and charged with:
* Fleeing or Evading Police 1st (Motor Vehicle)
* Fleeing or Evading Police 1st (On Foot)
* Criminal Mischief 2nd
* Improper Passing
* Speeding 15 MPH Over the Limit
* Wanton Endangerment 2nd (Police Officer)
* Driving on a DUI Suspended License 1st Offense
Trooper Jones is continuing the investigation
