From the Hamblen Co Sheriff's Dept

A Wednesday morning house fire in Hamblen County is being investigated as arson and deputies need help finding the suspect.

Firefighters were still battling a blaze late Wednesday morning at Scenic Lake Circle in eastern Hamblen County. The fire completely destroyed a two story home.

No one was inside the residence at the time of the fire, Purkey said.

All four Hamblen County Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the scene in Lake View Estates.

A reward of up to $5,000 in cash is being offered for the arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible. Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Sgt. George Sauceman at (423) 586-3781 or the Tennessee Arson Hotline at 1-800-3017.
