Serious personal water craft and pontoon collision injures one at Norris Lake.

According to a TWRA statement, a 38-year-old Ohio man was operating a rented personal watercraft in the Cedar Creek area at approximately 5:33 pm yesterday evening. The PWC struck a pontoon boat, throwing the operator from the vessel into Norris Lake.


The man was then struck by the propeller on the pontoon boat and he suffered serious lacerations. The man was transported via medical helicopter to UT Hospital in Knoxville.


The TWRA statement didn't mention the man's current condition. The incident is currently under investigation by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.
