Turning from a checkpoint with warrants nets an arrest on more charges for Pineville man

On Tuesday, October 19th just after 8:00pm Bell County Deputy Frank Foster observed a green Honda ATV turning prior to coming to a safety checkpoint on Highway 66. The deputy pursued the ATV, driven by 46-year-old Donald R. Hensley of Pineville, and initiated a traffic stop. Hensley was known to the deputy to have outstanding warrants for his arrest.


Hensley was taken into custody and a search incident to arrest revealed a glass pipe containing a crystal-like substance believed to be Methamphetamine as well as a straw with residue.


Donald Hensley was lodged in the Bell County Detention Center charged with possession of controlled substance – 1st degree, 1st offense (Methamphetamine) buying/possessing drug paraphernalia, fleeing or evading police – 2nd degree (motor vehicle), and he was served four warrants.
