3 serious Knox County Ky arrests - 2 involving sexual offenses

Bobby Sewell - KCDC

Friday night January 25, 2019 at 11:40pm 47 year old Bobby Sewell of Gray, Kentucky was booked into the Knox County Detention Center after being arrested by Trooper Sidney Wagner.


Sewell has been charged with KRS 531.310 - Use of a minor in a sexual performance which states that a person is guilty of this offense if he employs, consents to, authorizes or induces a minor to engage in a sexual performance.


Use of a minor in a sexual performance is a Class C felony if the minor so used is less than eighteen (18) years old at the time the minor engages in the prohibited activity.

 


Kenny Saylor - KCDC

A few hours later, at 1:33am Saturday morning January 26th, another Knox County man was booked into the Knox County Detention Center after being arrested by Trooper Wagner on sexual offenses.


39 year old Kenny A Saylor of Corbin has been charged with two counts of sexual abuse 1st degree victim under 12.


KRS 510.110 states that a person is guilty of sexual abuse in the first degree when: (a) He or she subjects another person to sexual contact by forcible compulsion; or (b) He or she subjects another person to sexual contact who is incapable of consent because he or she is less than twelve years old.


Sexual abuse in the first degree is a Class C felony. He is being held on a cash bond of $50,000.

 

Skyler Barnett - KCDC

23 year old Skyler Wayne Barnett of Williamsburg was booked into the Knox County Detention Center at 5:06pm on Friday January 25, 2019 after being arrested by KSP Trooper Sowders.


His charges include trafficking in controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense - greater than 2 grams - Methamphetamine, possession of controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense - methamphetamine, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, carrying a concealed weapon, speeding, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs aggravated circumstances, reckless driving, fleeing or evading police - 1st degree on foot, fleeing or evading police - 2nd degree on foot, resisting arrest, operating a motor vehicle on a suspended or revoked operator's license, no seat belts, failure to register transfer of motor vehicle, and criminal mischief 3rd degree. He was also served a parole violation warrant.


He is being held on a combined total cash bond of $50,000.
