From the Laurel County Sheriff's Department -
On Monday, April 29, 2019 at approximately 4:00 PM Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson and Manchester City Police Officer Jason Combs arrested 71 year old Ronnie Helton, of Laurel County.
The arrest occurred at Clay County Dispatch when Helton arrived at Clay County Dispatch and advised he had picked up another male subject on Interstate 75 in Laurel County and asked him if he would take money to have sex with him.
The white male told the driver he was from Ohio and that he would. The two men then drove to a secluded part of Crawfish Road where Helton showed the other male the money for sex. While Helton was outside of the vehicle taking off his clothes the unknown male subject was able to steal Mr. Helton's vehicle and leave the scene.
Clay County Sheriffs Office entered Ronnie Helton's vehicle stolen thru NCIC and charged him with Solicitation of Prostitution. He was lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.
