Adoptive father of missing 14 year old Madisonville girl arrested - girl found

9:30pm UPDATE - Madisonville teen Savannah Leigh Pruitt, who went missing Jan. 13, found safe according to The Monroe County Sheriff's Office. She was found in Wisconsin.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office says the adoptive father of missing teen Savannah Pruitt has been arrested and charged with rape.

Randall Pruitt faces one count of rape. The sheriff's office was not able to provide any other details, including the circumstance of the arrest or whether Savannah Pruitt had been found, saying they did not want to compromise the integrity of the investigation.

The connection to the case is still unclear. Pruitt has a court date listed on February 5.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says it is assisting.

Law enforcement agencies close to the continued search for Savannah Pruitt say they are hopeful for the outcome. Agencies are continuing to follow leads, from Georgia to Tennessee - across states.

"We are continuing to follow all leads and encourage anyone with info on her whereabouts to call the MCSO, the FBI or their local police," says Special Agent Jason Pack, spokesman for the FBI Knoxville field office.
