Barbourville, Ky. Man Served Warrant Nets Several More Charges During Arrest

On Friday, August 1, 2025, Knox County Deputies arrested 55-year-old Shawnee Williams of Barbourville, KY, on a Knox County Bench Warrant for a Drug Court violation involving a Possession of Controlled Substance-2nd Degree charge.


During the arrest a quantity of suspected methamphetamine, several syringes, multiple clear plastic baggies, and two plastic bags of suspected marijuana were located in his possession.


Shawnee Williams was then charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance-1st Degree, Possession of Marijuana (under 8 ounces), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Giving an Officer False Identifying Information.


Shawnee Williams was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
