Bell County and Middlesboro schools decide on opening days

Tuesday evening August 18th both Bell County and Middlesboro held their respective school board meetings. Among the agenda items at both meetings was how the school systems would proceed with opening days and in what capacity teaching would take place.
Superintendents Tom Gambrel of Bell County and Waylon Allen of Middlesboro both tell WRIL that their boards have chosen to begin virtual learning on Tuesday, September 8, 2020. On September 28th students will have the option to return to in-person classes.
