Bell County Man Charged With Holding Juvenile Girlfriend Against Her Will While Armed

Sunday afternoon, August 16, 2026, Pineville Police responded to a George Martin Drive address where a caller reported that an individual had forced his way into an apartment while armed.
Upon arrival, Pineville Officer Justin Patterson states that 18-year-old Hayden Baker of Kettle Island was already in the home with his juvenile girlfriend. The officer states in the citation that Baker unlawfully held the girl against her will, brandishing a highpoint handgun while making threats.
Baker is also accused of wantonly creating a substantial danger of death or physical harm to the victim by placing the firearm to the girl's head.
He fled the scene before police arrived and was picked up by a vehicle. Officer Patterson stopped the vehicle a short time later on Highway 66. Baker was ordered out of the vehicle and was taken into custody just after 3:20 p.m.
Hayden Baker was lodged in the Bell County Detention Center charged with wanton endangerment - 1st degree and unlawful imprisonment - 1st degree.
