Bell County Sheriff's Department rounds up five more for drug trafficking

From The Bell County Sheriff's Department -

The Bell County Sheriff’s Department has made five arrests so far in December 2022 after lengthy investigations into drug trafficking in the county.


The investigations, led by Sgt. Frank Foster and Chief Deputy Jaren Smith resulted in the arrest of:

64-year-old Marty Stewart of Kettle Island was charged with 1 count of trafficking Methamphetamine - 1st offense


40-year-old David Baker of Kettle Island was charged with 1 count of trafficking Methamphetamine - 1st offense


59-year-old Marcus Helton of Kettle Island was charged with 3 counts of trafficking Methamphetamine - 1st offense. He was also served with an outstanding warrant for failure to appear on an arson charge from 2017.


44-year-old William Napier of Newtown was charged with 2 counts of trafficking Methamphetamine - 1st offense, buying/possessing drug paraphernalia, possession of controlled substance - (Methamphetamine)


52-year-old Anthony Cloud of Newtown was charged with 3 counts of trafficking Methamphetamine - 1st offense, buying/possessing drug paraphernalia, possession of controlled substance - 2nd degree (drug unspecified), and he was served a warrant.


The Bell County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by Operation Unite. More charges and arrests are pending.


The individuals were lodged in the Bell County Detention Center and are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
