A short time before 2:30am Saturday morning October 21, 2023, Bell County Dispatch received a call of a single vehicle accident with injuries on Highway 987 in the Brownies Creek community.
First responders including the Bell County EMS, Sheriff's Department, and Volunteer Fire Department arrived on scene approximately ten miles from Highway 119, finding a vehicle that had left the roadway, gone over an embankment, and flipped on it's top coming to rest in a creek.
Due to the severity of the accident, the Bell County Coroners Office was requested to the scene where the occupant, 26-year-old Wesley Miller of Miracle, Ky. was declared deceased by Deputy Coroner Jason Steele.
Bell County Deputy Samson Churchwell is in charge of the investigation.
