Claiborne County Fatal Auto Accident Takes The Life Of A Teen

At approximately 9:47pm Sunday, August 31, 2025, multiple first responders were paged out to an injury accident on Welch Road in Tazewell.
According to the THP preliminary report, a woman identified as 35-year-old Tiffany Parker and her 14-year-old daughter were in a 2002 Ford F-150 traveling northbound on Welch Road.
Investigating Trooper Sgt. RA Bailey states that the truck ran slightly off the roadway to the right and struck a large tree. The vehicle then overturned coming to final rest on it's driver's side on the roadway.
Shortly before Tiffany was flown from the area by Lifestar for treatment of injuries, her daughter succumbed to her injuries and passed away.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is in charge of investigating the incident and charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
Two Claiborne ambulances, Claiborne Rescue Squad, Claiborne Sheriff's Department, North Tazewell Fire Department, Tazewell Police Department, and TNT Fire Department all responded.
