Claiborne Search Warrant Nets Two From Cumberland Gap For Drugs and Guns

From The Claiborne County Tn Sheriff's Department -

On Wednesday April 8th, 2026, Detectives with the Claiborne County Sheriffs Office Drug Investigations Division, Criminal Investigations Division, and Patrol Division conducted a search warrant at 176 McMurray Road in Cumberland Gap (located in very close proximity to Cumberland Gap High School).
Upon searching the residence, a large amount of Methamphetamine (approximately 80 grams) was recovered along with cash (approximately $8000.00) believed to be from the sales of illegal narcotics. There were also several other items located inside the residence including a stolen firearm along with an illegal firearm and several other stolen items.
48-year-old Jackie D. Evans and 50-year-old Tanya L. Murray were arrested at the residence and transported to the Claiborne County Jail.

Possession of Stolen Property
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Possession of a Schedule 6 Controlled Substance
Violation of the Drug Free School Zone Law
Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Dangerous Felony
Possession of a Schedule 3 Controlled Substance
Tanya L. Murray was charged with:
Possession of Methamphetamine for Resale
Possession of Stolen Property
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Possession of a Schedule 6 Controlled Substance
Violation of the Drug Free School Zone Law
Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony
Possession of a Schedule 3 Controlled Substance
