Domestic Call In Knox County Lands A Corbin Man In Jail

On Saturday, August 16, 2025, Knox County Deputy Thomas Martin responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on Helton Lane in Corbin.


When Deputy Martin arrived at the residence, he could hear yelling inside the residence. Deputy Martin knocked loudly several times on the door.


After a while a man opened the door and quickly slammed it shut when he saw Deputy Martin. Deputy Martin continued to knock on the door. The same man opened the door and came outside. The man refused to identify himself and became aggressive toward Deputy Martin. After a brief struggle, the man was subdued and placed under arrest. He was charged with menacing and resisting arrest. The man was identified as 40-year-old Chad Posey of Corbin, KY.


Chad Posey was also wanted on two Knox County Bench Warrants for failure to appear on Criminal Mischief-2nd Degree, Fleeing or Evading Police-2nd Degree, Reckless Driving, Operating on Suspended or Revoked Operator's License, Failure to Produce Insurance Card and License to be in Possession charges.


He was also wanted on a Laurel County Bench Warrant for failure to appear on Failure to Wear Seat Belts, License to be in Possession, Failure to Produce Insurance Card and No Registration Receipt charges.


Chad Posey was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
