Dorton Branch fire destroys home and belongings of a family of three

Early Saturday morning a short time before 5:00 am Bell County Volunteer Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the Dorton Branch Community.
The family was not home at the time, but received a call from a neighbor about the incident. When they arrived they found the home and their belongings a total loss.
Friends of the family have reached out to us to ask for assistance with a clothing request and a need for household items for three family members.
For the mother: size medium or large shirts, size 10-12 pants, size 7.5 shoes.
For the father: size 34x34 pants, shirt XL to 2XL, 12 in shoes.
For the son: size 5T and size 9 shoes.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
